  • Pit Water Regulation SB597 CPASA invites all interested citizens to join it at the next SB 597 (Pit Water) Stakeholder Meeting, 10:00 am, Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Ardmore Convention Center. OWRB is meeting with stakeholders so that it may craft rules to implement SB597 regulating pit water in non-coal mines. PLEASE COME! We especially need you if you are a city leader, county commissioner or other official representing citizens in south-central Oklahoma. Click here for more information on this meeting.
  • Water Appreciation Day at the Capitol Monday, February 13, 2012. OWRB Meeting 9:30 am AGENDA Come to the Capitol rotunda, 4th Floor and look for CPASA's booth.
  • SB288 Implementation On the OWRB Agenda for 2/13/2012: Summary of Staff Proposal for the maximum annual yield for the Arbuckle-Simpson Aquifer, discussion and vote.
  • CPASA's recommendation supports a maximum annual yield not to exceed 25K-30K acre ft/yr with equal proportionate share of 1.5 acre in/yr; and applicant must show 20% or less impact on springs and streams.

  • Arbuckle Aggregates A number of organizations and individuals have protested the Oklahoma Department of Mines application. A formal hearing is being scheduled. The date of the hearing will be mailed to protestors and it will be listed here as soon as it is announced.
